Terms of Service

1. Description of Service

Learn Tech is a school management platform that provides tools for attendance tracking, student record management, academic grading, fee collection, and parent communication. The Service is offered as a cloud-based subscription and is accessible through supported web browsers.

2. Eligibility

The Service is intended for use by schools, educational institutions, and their authorized staff. By creating an account, you represent that you are authorized to act on behalf of your institution and that all information provided during registration is accurate.

3. Account Responsibilities

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
• You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
• Each user account should be used by one person. Sharing credentials is not permitted.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of applicable laws.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other accounts, systems, or networks connected to the Service.
• Introduce malware, viruses, or any code designed to disrupt or damage the Service.
• Scrape, crawl, or use automated tools to extract data from the Service without written permission.
• Resell, sublicense, or redistribute the Service without our written consent.

5. Fees and Billing

• Free tier: available for schools with up to 100 students, with core features included at no cost.
• Paid plans: billed monthly or annually as selected during subscription. Fees are listed on our pricing page and may be updated with 30 days notice.
• All fees are non-refundable unless required by applicable law.
• We reserve the right to suspend access if payment is overdue by more than 15 days.

6. Data Ownership

You retain full ownership of all data you enter into the Service, including student records, financial data, and academic information. We do not claim ownership of your data. You may export your data at any time in standard formats. Upon account closure, we retain data for 90 days to allow export, then permanently delete it.

7. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its software, design, branding, and documentation, is owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks, logos, or other brand features.

8. Service Availability

We aim for 99.9% uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may perform scheduled maintenance with advance notice and will make reasonable efforts to minimize disruption. We are not liable for downtime caused by factors outside our reasonable control.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Learn Tech shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Termination

Either party may terminate this agreement at any time. You may cancel your subscription through your account settings. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately, and we will provide a 90-day window for data export.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification at least 30 days before taking effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
